What is a Host Landmark?
A host landmark, also referred to as a "first party", is the venue where an event actually takes place. As the host landmark operator, you own the event, control event creation, create the EventPass listing that is listed on your own Passes website where drivers can purchase parking. With this update, you also gain full control over whether and when inventory from partner landmarks (third-parties) is broadcast on your listings page.
Control Whether Partner Inventory Appears on Your Listings Page
If a third-party parking operator is linked to one of your events, you can control whether their inventory appears alongside your own on your listings page. This is managed on a per-event basis in SmartPass Admin when creating or editing an EventPass using the "Show Partner Inventory on Listings Page" toggle.
Toggle ON: Partner inventory is displayed on your listings page alongside your own.
Toggle OFF: Only your own inventory is displayed. Partner operators can still sell parking through their own pages; their inventory simply won't appear on yours.
The toggle is set to off by default. You can choose whether to display partner parking for each event.
Location Configuration in SmartPass Admin Shows Partner Relationships
In Configuration Locations in SmartPass Admin, your locations will be displayed with any linked partner landmarks displayed underneath them as pills. This gives you a clear view of which partner landmarks are officially linked to your landmarks.
What Stays the Same
- You still create and manage your own events, lots, and listings the same way.
- Your Passes website works the same way for your own inventory.
- Drivers purchasing parking see your listings just as they always have.
- Your own presell windows, pricing, and additional charges are fully under your control.
