Understanding Your Role
If you're a parking operator that sells parking for events held at someone else's venue, you may be set up as an official partner landmark or an unofficial partner landmark. Read on to understand the difference and what's changing.
Official Partner Landmark
An official partner landmark is a parking operator who has a formally recognized relationship with a host landmark, set up and managed by JustPark. The host landmark is aware of and has approved this relationship.
What this means for you as an official partner:
- When the host landmark creates a new public event, you will automatically receive a mirrored version of that event in your SmartPass Admin. You don't need to manually create events.
- You own your mirrored event fully. You set your own presell window, parking window, and driver access hours.
- Your inventory comes entirely from your own lots.
- If the host landmark chooses to enable it for a given event, your inventory can appear on the host's listings page alongside theirs, giving you access to their driver demand.
- You can create and sell SeasonPass via SmartPass Admin, targeted to your own dedicated Passes listings page.
- You can create and issue CompPass via SmartPass Admin.
- You will receive email notifications if the host event changes (e.g. cancellation, reschedule, or time change), so you can take appropriate action on your mirrored event.
- A "Host Landmark" column is visible in SmartPass Admin, so you can always see which events are yours vs. those mirrored from a host.
Unofficial Partner Landmark
An unofficial partner landmark is a parking operator who sells parking for events at another venue's landmark, without a formally recognized relationship with that host. The host may not be involved or aware of the arrangement at all.
What this means for you as an unofficial partner:
- You create your own events in SmartPass Admin independently.
- You can sell parking on your own Passes listings page for those events.
- Your inventory will not appear on the host landmark's listings page.
- You can create SeasonPass listings and CompPass passbooks for your own events.
- You will not receive automatic notifications about host event changes.
To become an official partner landmark, the relationship between your landmark and the host landmark must be set up by JustPark. Reach out to your JustPark account team for more information.
What's Changing for Partner Landmarks
1. You Now Have Your Own Dedicated Passes Listings Page
Previously, if you were a partner landmark (third-party operator), the only place your inventory appeared was on the host landmark's listings page. You had no branded page of your own.
Now, you get your own white-labeled Passes website that shows your inventory across all the landmarks you're linked to.
Your consumer-facing listings page will clearly show drivers both where the event is taking place (the host landmark) and where they're parking (your landmark).
If your landmark is linked to more than one host landmark, your listings page will display a venue filter so drivers can browse by event location. If you're only associated with one location, no filter is shown.
2. You Control Your Own Presell Window, Parking Window, and Driver Access Hours
Previously, partner landmarks (third-party operators) were locked to the host's event settings. Your presell window and parking window started and ended when theirs did.
With this update, because you now own your own mirrored event, you set all of this yourself:
- Your own presell window (when drivers can start buying)
- Your own parking window (when your lots open and close)
- Your own custom driver access hours
Modify your presell window on the JustPark Passes presell page
3. Your Inventory May Now Appear on the Host's Listings Page
This is a key new capability for official partners. The host landmark operator has a per-event toggle to decide whether your inventory is shown alongside theirs on their listings page. If they switch it on, drivers browsing the host's page will see your parking options too. This is an all-or-nothing toggle from the host's perspective — they're either showing all officially linked partner inventory for that event or none of it. There is no shared inventory between you and the host, whether it's purchased from the host's page or from yours. If they still have inventory remaining, the host’s lots will automatically be listed at the top of the page, followed by official partner’s lots.
4. SeasonPass and CompPass Are Now Available
With dedicated partner landmark pages now in place, official partner landmarks can create and manage SeasonPass listings targeted to their own page, and distribute CompPass passbooks via SmartPass Admin.

5. You'll See a "Host Landmark" Column in SmartPass Admin
When you're working in SmartPass Admin - creating passes, managing events, or editing - you'll now see a "Host Landmark" column. This tells you at a glance which events are your own and which are mirrored from a host.

6. You'll Receive Email Notifications When a Host Event Changes
If you're an official partner and the host event you're mirroring changes (e.g. cancellation, reschedule, or time change) you'll receive an email notification so you can take action.
- If the host event's time changes, your mirrored event will automatically update to reflect the new times.
- If the host event is cancelled or rescheduled, you'll be notified, but no automatic changes will be made to your event. You decide what to do with your own inventory and passes.
