With NFC payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) on the rise, it's important to note slight differences in the refund process that exist between a payment made with a physical credit/debit card versus an NFC card. The following will outline the steps that should be taken in order to refund a payment made with Apple Pay or a NFC card saved to an Apple Wallet.
- Ensure that the customer has paid with a card from their digital "Apple Wallet".

Walk customer through the process of locating their card number within Apple Pay.
a. Go to wallet app
b. Select digital card that was used to make payment
c. Select the ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the screen
d. Your last four of your physical card will be shown as well as the last 4 digits for Apple pay will be listed - Using the last four digits of the Apply Pay card to search, locate the transaction in the ROAM merchant portal and issue refund per standard practices.
