Offline Mode (Airplane Mode) can be used when certain lots or areas have limited cellular connectivity or during peak ingress when transactions may take several seconds to process. Your operation can proactively enable Offline Mode when needed, or JustPark Support may recommend it as a temporary measure to help improve transaction processing.
Implications
- When a device is in offline mode, you will not see any real time data in JustPark Live.
- Transactions will be stored locally on the device and will be in a pending state until they are able to sync.
- If a credit card is swiped in offline mode, payments will not process until after the phone goes back online. This may result in payment being denied once processed.
- Inventory counts will be off until transactions sync to JustPark.
- Prime refreshes automatically every 10 minutes when connected to cellular service. This includes: changes in pricing, lot assignments, VIP parkers, permit and prepaid data. When a device is offline it will not receive these updates.
- Prime will not reject a duplicate barcode if it was scanned previously in a different lot.
